Job Title: Bar Manager

TRUE'STEA is seeking a skilled Bar Manager to lead our team and drive sales growth. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our bar, including managing staff, controlling costs, and ensuring exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Menu Management: Modify food preparation methods and menu prices according to the restaurant budget to optimize profitability.
  • Staff Performance: Monitor staff performance and provide coaching and training to ensure high standards are met.
  • Operations: Plan and organize daily operations, including inventory management and supply chain logistics.
  • Recruitment and Training: Recruit and train staff to ensure a skilled and motivated team.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service and address customer complaints or concerns in a professional manner.
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Develop and implement programs to support newcomers and refugees, including mentorship and diversity training.
  • Support for Youth: Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for youth and provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment.
  • Support for Indigenous People: Provide cultural competency training and facilitate access to Elders for support and guidance.

Requirements:

  • College/CEGEP education
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
