Job Summary

BMO is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Architect to lead the development of our technology strategy and roadmap. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating a visionary IT architecture that aligns with our business needs and technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive technology strategy that drives business growth and innovation.
  • Lead the design and implementation of repeatable technical solutions and processes related to technology architecture.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define architectural possibilities and futures.
  • Provide strategic input into business decisions as a trusted advisor.
  • Work with business and development teams to recommend processes or system design enhancements.
  • Ensure that systems are functionally appropriate, technically sound, and well-integrated.
  • Provide immediate response to critical production program-wide problems to evaluate solutions, coordinate applicable recovery, and ensure resolution.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience as a Cloud Infrastructure engineer in Data and Data warehousing technologies.
  • 10+ relevant experience and post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Good decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong knowledge on Data Lake, Data Warehousing, Distributed systems, and Data infrastructure concepts.
  • Solid experience with ML infrastructure and ML DevOps.
  • Experience in migrating data from on-prem Hadoop to AWS/Azure Cloud.
  • Understanding of core AWS & Azure services & architecture best practices.
  • Hands-on experience in different domains, like database architecture, business intelligence, machine learning, advanced analytics, big data, etc.
  • Solid experience creating CI/CD pipelines to manage infrastructure deployment and code deployment.
  • Excellent communication skills for providing specialized consulting, analytical, and technical support to internal team members and external CIO Business teams.
  • Should have sound experience provisioning following Cloud Services as well as their design and architecture components.
