We are seeking a highly qualified and passionate BC Certified Teacher to join our team at Saplings Outdoor Program. As a key member of our educational team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, nature-based education to our students.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement engaging, child-centered lesson plans that align with the BC Curriculum.
- Lead and participate in curriculum development, ensuring a holistic and inquiry-based approach to learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Assess student progress and develop social-emotional development plans to support student growth.
- Participate in regular meetings and professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date on best practices in nature-based education.
- BC Certified Teacher qualification.
- Clean Criminal Record Check.
- Current First Aid Certificate.
- Experience working with elementary school-aged students.
- Preference given to applicants with experience working in an outdoor setting or in a multi-aged classroom.
- A competitive salary range of $55,000-$60,000, with opportunities for growth and professional development.
