Job DescriptionWe are seeking a BC Certified Teacher to join our team at Saplings Outdoor Program. As a teacher in our nature-based program, you will have the opportunity to work in a natural environment, spending most of your day outside in our beautiful outdoor classroom areas. Our program is designed to inspire a sense of wonder and love for learning, and we are looking for a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with the BC Curriculum and our nature-based program philosophy
- Work with students in a multi-aged classroom setting, using child-centered and inquiry-based learning approaches
- Participate in regular meetings and professional development opportunities to ensure high-quality teaching and learning
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement social-emotional development plans and student assessments
- BC Certified Teacher
- Clean Criminal Record Check
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Experience working with elementary school-aged students
- Applicants with experience working in an outdoor setting or in a multi-aged classroom preferred
- Competitive salary range: $55,000-$60,000
