Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Project Manager to join our team at Vertex. As an Environmental Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing and executing upstream oil and gas and industrial projects in accordance with Vertex guidelines and project scopes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and execute environmental projects, including reclamation and remediation, from planning to completion.
  • Develop and implement project plans, including cost estimates, scheduling, and budget tracking.
  • Conduct site assessments, including Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments.
  • Develop and implement reclamation and remediation plans, including detailed site assessments and vegetation management.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, including groundwater monitoring and spill response.
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to ensure project deliverables meet their needs and expectations.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior environmental staff.
Requirements
  • Diploma or higher education in environmental sciences, biology, or a related discipline.
  • Professional designation or in-training designation applicable for conducting professional sign-off in Saskatchewan.
  • Minimum 3-7 years of environmental work experience, including experience in reclamation, remediation, and project management.
  • Excellent communication and technical reporting skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Working knowledge of contaminated sites and reclamation regulations in Saskatchewan.
