Job Title: Human Resources Officer - Talent Acquisition

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Officer to join our team at Alberta Ltd. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for identifying current and prospective staffing requirements, preparing and posting notices and advertisements, and collecting and screening applicants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify current and prospective staffing requirements
  • Prepare and post notices and advertisements
  • Collect and screen applicants
  • Advise job applicants on employment requirements and terms and conditions of employment
  • Review candidate inventories
  • Contact potential applicants to arrange interviews
  • Recruit graduates of colleges, universities and other educational institutions
  • Co-ordinate and participate in selection and examination boards to evaluate candidates
  • Notify applicants of results of selection process and prepare job offers
  • Advise managers and employees on staffing policies and procedures
  • Organize staff consultation and grievance procedures
  • Negotiate settlements of appeals and disputes and co-ordinate termination of employment process
  • Determine eligibility to entitlements and arrange staff training
  • Supervise personnel clerks performing filing, typing and record-keeping duties

Work Environment:

This is a fast-paced environment that requires the ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail.

Requirements:

  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience
  • Permanent employment
  • English as the primary language of work
  • 40 hours per week
