Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Hotel Front Desk Clerk to join our team at Meridian Inn & Suites Ltd. As a key member of our front office team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, managing room assignments, and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Services: Register arriving guests, assign rooms, and provide information on hotel facilities and services.
  • Room Management: Process group arrivals and departures, take, cancel, and change room reservations, and maintain an inventory of vacancies and room assignments.
  • Cash Handling: Balance cash, complete balance sheets, and process guest payments.
  • Communication: Answer telephone calls, relay messages, and assist clients/guests with special needs.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, and assist with clerical duties such as faxing, filing, and photocopying.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
