About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Commercial Development Specialist to join our team at Co-operators. As a key member of our commercial insurance sales team, you will be responsible for driving new business growth and expanding our commercial portfolio through proactive sales and marketing efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research and identify new business opportunities to drive sales growth and expansion of our commercial portfolio.
  • Develop and implement effective sales and marketing strategies to promote our insurance offerings and build strong relationships with clients.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and pursue new business opportunities and develop strategic partnerships.
  • Conduct risk assessments and commercial inspections to ensure accurate and timely underwriting decisions.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients, responding to their needs and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of experience in commercial insurance sales and business development.
  • Post-secondary education in a related discipline.
  • General insurance license.
  • Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) or Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional (FCIP) designation.
