">Pension and Benefits Specialist Role:
">We are seeking an experienced Pension and Benefits Specialist to join our Total Rewards team. The successful candidate will be responsible for administering, interpreting, and providing guidance on all aspects of compensation, benefits, and pension programs.
">Key Responsibilities:
">- ">
- Collaborate with the Senior Pension & Benefits Specialist to ensure compliance with collective agreements, terms and conditions of employment, internal and external policies, and legislative requirements">
- Administer sick leave reporting and maintain employee records from initial hire through to retirement">
- Act as the central point of contact for designated employees regarding compensation, benefits, and pension administration inquiries">
- Provide advice to P&C Business Partners on compensation, benefits, and pension-related issues">
- Liaise with payroll to resolve anomalies and provide guidance on compensation, benefits, leaves, appointments, and severance">
- Ensure audit processes are adhered to and escalate discrepancies in a timely manner">
- Coordinate special projects and initiatives to improve best practices and procedures">
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and service providers to enhance program initiatives and improvements">
Requirements:
">To be considered for this role, you must possess a comprehensive understanding of compensation, benefits, and pension programs, principles, and practices. You should have demonstrated knowledge of related legislative rules and regulations, collective agreements, and terms and conditions of different employment types.
">Desirable Skills and Qualifications:

- Minimum 3 years' experience in compensation, pension, and benefits or equivalent">
- Undergraduate degree in Human Resources, business administration, or a related field">
- Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) or Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) designation">
- Audit, finance, or accounting background would be an asset">
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills">
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel">
- Working knowledge of cloud-based HRMS systems">
Salary and Benefits:
">The estimated salary range for this position is between $75,378.00 - $90,000 per year, based on qualifications and experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, as well as access to Humber's Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
