We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeping Aide to join our team at THERESE HOFFMAN. As a Housekeeping Aide, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our residence. Your duties will include sweeping, mopping, and polishing floors, dusting furniture, and vacuuming carpets and upholstered furniture. You will also be responsible for making beds, changing sheets, and distributing clean towels and toiletries. Additionally, you will assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene, and perform laundry and linen duties. Work Site Environment

Our residence is a non-smoking environment. Optional accommodation is available at no charge on a live-in basis, but this is not a condition of employment.

Work Setting

You will be working in an employer's home, providing domestic support to our clients. Public transportation is available.

Tasks

Your tasks will include:

  • Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors
  • Dust furniture
  • Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture
  • Make beds and change sheets
  • Distribute clean towels and toiletries
  • Stock linen closet
  • Clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances
  • Pick up debris and empty trash containers
  • Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
  • Launder clothing and household linens
  • Mend clothing and linens
  • Wash windows, walls and ceilings
Security and Safety

A criminal record check is required for this position.

Transportation/Travel Information

Public transportation is available.

Weight Handling

You will be required to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs).

Personal Suitability

We are looking for someone with strong punctuality, initiative, and honesty. This is a temporary position, working 30 hours per week.
