Drywall Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Specialist to join our team at NPC NORTHLAND BUILDERS INC. As a key member of our construction crew, you will be responsible for installing and finishing drywall in various locations.

• Install successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints with precision and attention to detail.
• Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners, ensuring a seamless finish.
• Fully fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
• Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets efficiently, positioning and securing them to metal or wooden studs or joists.
• Smooth out excess compound, allowing each coat to dry before applying the next, resulting in a flawless finish.
• Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound for a strong bond.

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Technology or related field; or equivalent experience in drywall installation and finishing.
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a drywall installer or finisher, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality work.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, prioritizing tasks and managing time wisely.
• Excellent physical stamina, with ability to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, kneel, and walk on uneven surfaces.
• Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity, with ability to use various tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, with ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and supervisors.

• A competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
