Drywall Installer and Finisher Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installer and Finisher to join our team at NPC NORTHLAND BUILDERS INC. as a key member of our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in drywall installation, finishing, and repair, with a strong focus on quality and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

• Install and finish drywall sheets, including measuring, cutting, and fitting to ensure a smooth finish.
• Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to achieve a seamless finish.
• Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners and ensure a durable finish.
• Fills joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife.
• Tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound.
• Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists, ensuring a secure and level fit.
• Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry.

Requirements:

• Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
• Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years, or equivalent experience.

Work Environment:

• Work setting: Various locations.
