We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Recreation Programmer II to join our team at North Vancouver Recreation & Culture. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing a variety of community-based recreation and social programs and special events.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement recreation programs that meet the needs and interests of the community.
- Supervise staff to ensure effective program operations and provide guidance on program development and implementation.
- Collaborate with community groups and stakeholders to promote interest and participation in program activities.
- Manage program budgets and operating schedules to ensure efficient use of resources.
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive experience for program participants.
- College or University graduation with courses in leisure and recreation, or related subjects.
- Considerable knowledge of organized community recreation principles and practices.
- Sound knowledge of methods, policies, and procedures applicable to the work.
- Ability to work with program budgets and operating schedules; supervise; and assist community groups.
- Direct experience working with volunteers and community in planning for services.
- High level of interpersonal skills, flexibility, and adaptability, and the ability to work independently with sound judgment.
- Proficiency with PerfectMind, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher.
- A competitive salary range of $36.08 to $42.45 per hour.
