Brandt Developments Ltd. is seeking an experienced Electrical Technologist to join our team in Regina, Saskatchewan. As an Electrical Technologist, you will provide support to our design team and assist with contract administration and electrical building system drawings.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and detail electrical systems for all projects, ensuring compliance with local code requirements.
- Prepare contract drawings, specifications, schedules, details, and sketches from conceptual design through to construction.
- Coordinate electrical system design with local code requirements and ensure compliance with sound engineering practices and standards.
- Liaise with clients, authorities, and contractors as required to ensure project success.
- Investigate preliminary electrical layout options during the planning and schematic design process to meet client requirements.
- Prepare cost estimates, tender contract documents, and engineering reports.
- Perform contract administration duties on projects, including attending meetings, travel, submittal reviews, supplemental instructions, price requests, site inspection reports, meeting minutes, and other project-related tasks.
- Review, evaluate, and improve upon engineering designs, drafting, schematics, and specifications.
- Support the Building Design Team as required, including internal collaboration and assisting with other discipline technologist tasks to ensure project success.
- Project cost monitoring and schedule control as requested.
- 3+ years of experience in a consulting office, with experience in design development, detailed design, design coordination, and contract administration construction services.
- Certificate in Engineering Design and Drafting Technology or Electrical Engineering Technology.
- Proficiency with AutoDESK Revit and AutoCAD.
- Ability to work on multiple projects and collaborate with a team of Engineers, Architects, and Technologists.
- Strong work ethic and team-oriented individual with excellent communication skills.
