Brandt Developments Ltd. is seeking an Electrical Systems Design Specialist to join our team in Regina, Saskatchewan.

About the Position

This role is responsible for providing technical support to our design team and assisting with contract administration and electrical building system drawings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and design electrical systems for various projects across Canada.
  • Prepare contract drawings, specifications, schedules, details, and sketches from conceptual design through to construction.
  • Develop Revit/AutoCAD drawings for electrical systems, including layouts, schematics, specifications, and construction & technical details.
  • Coodinate electrical system design with local code requirements.
  • Liaise with clients, authorities & contractors as required.
  • Investigate preliminary electrical layout options during the planning and schematic design process to meet clients' requirements.
  • Prepare cost estimates, tender contract documents, and engineering reports.
  • Perform contract administration duties on projects, including attending meetings, travel as required, submittal reviews, supplemental instructions, price requests, site inspection reports, meeting minutes, and other aspects of the project.
  • Coordinate and follow up on project issues.
  • Review, evaluate, and improve upon engineering designs, drafting, schematics, and specifications.
Requirements

We are looking for an individual with 3+ years' experience in a consulting office, with expertise in design development, detailed design, design coordination, and contract admin construction services.

A certificate in Engineering Design and Drafting Technology or Electrical Engineering Technology is also required.

Proficiency with AutoDESK Revit, AutoCAD is essential.

Candidates must be able to work on multiple projects and collaborate with a team of Engineers, Architects, and Technologists.

The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, be team-oriented, and detail-focused.

Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this position is $75,000-$90,000, depending on experience.
