Job Title: Foundations Teacher

We are seeking a qualified and passionate Foundations Teacher to join our team at Flex Academy, a new JK-12 campus school in Kelowna, BC. As a Foundations Teacher, you will play a vital role in educating students within our flexible educational model and supporting their academic, spiritual, and social-emotional growth.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering quality instruction for both academic and spiritual growth of students, planning and teaching engaging lessons, assessing student progress, and maintaining good classroom management. You will also collaborate with other departments as necessary, plan field trips, and participate in school and staff meetings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality instruction for academic and spiritual growth of students
  • Plan and teach engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning styles
  • Assess student progress and report to parents and school administrators
  • Maintain good classroom management and create a positive learning environment
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of curriculum
  • Plan field trips and participate in school and staff meetings
Requirements:
  • BC Certified Teacher
  • Ability to manage and adapt to varied workloads in a start-up environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to and lifestyle reflective of KCCS Foundational Beliefs
  • Alignment with HCOS Teacher Profile Attributes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage confidential information sensitively
What We Offer:
  • Competitive wage ($48,477 to $83,727 based upon 1.0 FTE, depends upon years of experience and education level)
