Restaurant Shift Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Restaurant Shift Manager to join our team at Soul Restaurants Canada Inc.
Job Summary:The Restaurant Shift Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. This includes supervising staff, managing inventory, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and Co-ordinate Activities: Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard.
- Train Staff: Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, ensuring that they are equipped to perform their roles effectively.
- Estimate Ingredients and Supplies: Estimate the ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring that we have sufficient stock to meet demand.
- Prepare Budget and Cost Estimates: Prepare budget and cost estimates, ensuring that we are operating within our means.
- Maintain Records: Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, ensuring that we have accurate data to inform our decisions.
- Prepare Reports: Prepare and submit reports, ensuring that we are meeting our targets and objectives.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Work Setting: Food service establishment, restaurant.
- Tasks: Establish methods to meet work schedules, supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff, train staff, estimate ingredients and supplies, prepare budget and cost estimates, maintain records, prepare reports.
- Supervision: 5-10 people, food service counter attendants, and food preparers.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, combination of sitting, standing, walking, standing for extended periods.
- Personal Suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility.
