Splunk Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Splunk Engineer to join our team in Vancouver, Canada. As a key member of our Cyber Resiliency team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the security and integrity of our systems.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for configuring, maintaining, and administering Splunk Enterprise Security, as well as developing and implementing effective correlation rules to enhance the detection and response capabilities of our SIEM platform.
About the Role:
- Design, implement, and maintain Splunk Enterprise Security configurations to meet business requirements.
- Develop and optimize Splunk queries, dashboards, and alerts to improve incident detection and response times.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address security threats and vulnerabilities.
- Maintain expertise in Splunk and related technologies, including syslog, scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell), and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Provide exceptional problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and technical knowledge to support incident management and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You:
- Bachelor of Science in a technology-related discipline or 3 years of relevant experience.
- 5 years of experience in Splunk configuration, maintenance, and administration.
- Proficiency in developing and optimizing Splunk queries, dashboards, and alerts.
- Experience with scripting languages for automation and tool integration.
- Significant experience with event correlation logic and rules creation.
