Job Title: Youth Worker

360°kids is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Worker to join our team. As a Youth Worker, you will play a vital role in providing client-centered support to youth in our drop-in, emergency shelter, and SHINE environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide a safe and supportive environment for youth to access basic needs, such as food, bedding, and hygiene.
  • Respond to immediate needs, provide support, and resolve conflicts in a trauma-informed and harm reduction approach.
  • Work with youth to assess their housing needs and provide assistance in finding suitable accommodations.
  • Complete daily documentation, including case notes and statistics, to ensure accurate tracking of youth progress.
  • Collaborate with internal programs and external partners to provide referrals and support services to youth.
  • Provide ongoing life skills support, mentoring, and encouragement to help youth overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a child/youth-related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of two years' experience working with at-risk or street-involved youth.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt to diverse youth needs and situations.
  • Knowledge of harm reduction principles, trauma-informed care, and community resources.
  • Current First Aid/CPR certification and vulnerable sector screening (criminal background check) required.
