Job Title: Custodian Supervisor

Miracle Duct Cleaning is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Custodian Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our cleaning staff, ensuring that our facilities are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of cleaning staff to ensure efficient and effective cleaning operations.
  • Inspect sites or facilities to ensure safety and cleanliness standards are met.
  • Prepare budget and cost estimates for cleaning operations.
  • Recommend or arrange for additional services required, such as painting, repair work, or replacement of furnishings and equipment.
  • Maintain financial records and receive payment for specialized cleaning jobs.
  • Assist cleaners in performing duties and coordinate work activities with other departments.
  • Establish work schedules and supervise a team of 5-10 people.
Requirements:
  • College/CEGEP education or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a supervisory role.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces, wet/damp environments, and with odours and dust.
  • Manual dexterity and ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Dependability, flexibility, and reliability.
Working Conditions:
  • Office building, cleaning service company, commercial facility, hotel, motel, resort, or school/educational institution.
  • Repetitive tasks, physically demanding work, and combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
Security and Safety:
  • Criminal record check required.
Personal Suitability:
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts and on-call.
Language:
  • English language proficiency required.
Work Term:
  • Permanent position.
Hours:
  • 35 to 40 hours per week.
