Electronics Design Engineer Opportunity

We're seeking a skilled Electronics Design Engineer to join our team at Clearpath Robotics. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge electronics for research and industrial robotics products.

About the Role:

This position involves designing innovative electronics from concept to reality, collaborating with a cross-functional team to develop advanced electronics for our products. You'll design and debug complex systems, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery. Additionally, you'll mentor junior staff and support customer installations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design electronics for standard products and custom development projects
  • Perform system-level electrical integration and testing
  • Debug electronics in complex robots and manipulation systems
  • Design power distribution, battery implementation, and motor systems
  • Develop cable management strategies and test integrated systems


Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

You'll need strong knowledge of electronics and system-level hardware design, as well as communications architectures (ethernet, USB, CAN bus, etc.). Experience with electronic component selection and validation, cable assembly design, EMC management principles, and best practice design for EMI control is also essential. Familiarity with PCB design and technology knowledge, Altium and Solidworks, and industrial safety system design and FMEA is a plus.
