At Nuvation Research Corporation, we are on the hunt for a Senior Electronics Hardware Architect to spearhead our engineering endeavors. This role is ideal for an expert in electronics and embedded systems hardware design, with a strong background in electronic system architecture definition and design, circuit design and analysis, schematic entry and PCB layout, test, bring-up, and debug of electronic subsystems.
Responsibilities- We're looking for someone who can act as a key member and leader within our engineering team, architecting and developing electronic systems involving complex analog, digital, high-speed, and programmable logic technologies, integrating them with embedded firmware or HDL as necessary.
- The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with electronics and embedded systems hardware design, including analog and digital PCB design, high-speed digital design, ADC/DAC system design, designs involving FPGAs and/or embedded processors, power supply design, communication interfaces, sensors, and actuators.
- You will also be responsible for leading a small team of engineers to successfully meet technical and scheduling goals set out for each project, mentoring individuals to be savvy engineers, generating sales through proposal writing, project estimation, and content marketing, and recruiting candidates for specific technical knowledge and evaluating their fit with Nuvation's Culture and Principles.
This role requires a strong understanding of RF design principles, solid knowledge of EMC/EMI fundamentals, experience integrating hardware systems with FPGAs and/or embedded processors, advanced PCB- and system-level troubleshooting experience, knowledge about electronics manufacturing and DFM best practices, expertise with high-speed oscilloscopes, signal generators, logic analyzers, spectrum, and/or network analyzers, and proficiency with tools for schematic entry and PCB layout such as Altium Designer, OrCAD, or alternate tool.
The successful candidate will have excellent technical documentation skills, experience with high layer count board designs, strong knowledge of EMC management principles and best practice design for EMI control, and in-depth knowledge of PCB design and PCB technology.
