About the Role

Mace is seeking an experienced Construction Operations Director to join our team. As a key member of our consult business, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of high-profile and high-value projects, providing strategic direction and monitoring delivery aligned with overall vision and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and provide direction to construction & project delivery teams on high-profile and high-value projects.
  • Develop and implement effective construction management strategies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to develop and implement project plans, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Manage client relationships effectively, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and partners, ensuring effective collaboration and delivery of projects.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with projects, ensuring that all necessary controls are in place to minimize potential impacts.
  • Develop and implement effective health, safety, and wellbeing strategies to ensure a safe working environment for all employees and stakeholders.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to team members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver projects effectively.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, ensuring that Mace remains at the forefront of construction management.
Requirements
  • Significant experience leading and providing direction to construction & project delivery teams on high-profile and high-value projects.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, with the ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Membership of RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
