Executive Director Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Executive Director to lead the Burlington Performing Arts Centre (BPAC) in its mission to provide a vibrant cultural hub for the community.

About the Role

The Executive Director will be responsible for overseeing the overall strategy and operations of the BPAC, including programming, marketing, fundraising, and community engagement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in arts management, with experience in leading performing arts venues and managing budgets of $1.5 to 5 million.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the BPAC's strategic plan, aligning with the City of Burlington's 25-year strategic plan
  • Lead a team of staff and volunteers to deliver high-quality programming and events
  • Manage the BPAC's budget and finances, ensuring fiscal responsibility and sustainability
  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners, sponsors, and stakeholders
  • Represent the BPAC at community events and in the media
Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in leading performing arts venues, with a strong background in arts management
  • Excellent financial and organizational skills, with experience in budget management and fundraising
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
  • Knowledge of the performing arts industry, with experience in programming, marketing, and community engagement
