Job Summary

Vestas is seeking a highly skilled Wind Turbine Technician II to join our team. As a key member of our Resource Team, you will travel to our sites across North America, providing technical support and maintenance services to our wind turbines.

Responsibilities
  • Travel up to % of the time, working overtime as needed to meet business goals
  • Act as a safety role model, promoting a culture of safety and adhering to all safety standards and procedures
  • Perform intermediate-level wind turbine maintenance and installation tasks, including operation and use of specialized tools and equipment
  • Diagnose and resolve turbine performance issues, seeking assistance when necessary
  • Collaborate with teammates to achieve goals, mentoring lower-level technical staff and promoting a healthy team environment
  • Interface with customers, responding to inquiries and referring complex issues to higher-level technical staff
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred: post-high school education or a minimum two-year wind industry experience, including electrical experience and ability to read electrical drawings
  • Proven use and understanding of intermediate-level power tools and diagnostic tools
  • Ability to demonstrate intermediate working knowledge of industrial safety practices and protocols
  • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a passport
  • Significant attention to detail, good interpersonal and customer relation skills, and ability to effectively collaborate with employees at all professional levels
