Salary

We offer a competitive salary range of $39.52-$49.37 per hour, which translates to approximately $80,000-$100,000 per year. Additionally, we provide a bi-weekly schedule with 37.5 hours worked.

Job DescriptionPatient Centered Care

The Clinical Lead Nurse plays a key role in delivering patient-centered care by overseeing the plan of care for patients and families. This involves monitoring the flow of patients within the facility and working with the multidisciplinary team to ensure integrated, person-centered care.

  • Reviewing patient charts and conducting regular audits to ensure staff meet Health PEI documentation practices and policies.
  • Promoting professional nursing standards and codes of conduct.
  • Ensuring comprehensive individualized nursing care plans are in place for each patient.
Leadership and Quality Improvement

The Clinical Lead Nurse acts as a change agent to assist staff with new programs or responsibilities. They facilitate quality improvement initiatives and collaborate with stakeholders to coordinate patient care needs throughout hospitalization and discharge.

  • Functioning as a resource in clinical expertise.
  • Assigning patients and assisting with shift filling.
  • Orienting new staff on total patient care delivery systems, documentation, and unit-based quality improvement activities.
RequirementsQualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or Diploma in nursing, with enrollment in a BN degree program considered.
  • Active registration with the College of Registered Nurses and Midwives of PEI (CRNMPEI).
  • Extensive recent experience in acute care.
Skills

You will also need:

  • Strong communication skills and ability to establish positive relationships with staff, patients, and interdisciplinary health care providers.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, initiative, and innovation in clinical practice.
