About the Role

The Clinical Lead Nurse will play a key role in supporting Health PEI's vision and goals in delivering high-quality patient care. As a member of the healthcare team, you will oversee patient care plans, monitor patient flow, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Quality Improvement: Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and satisfaction.
  • Clinical Leadership: Provide clinical leadership and guidance to nursing staff, promoting best practices and evidence-based care.
  • Patient Care Planning: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Staff Development: Mentor and coach nursing staff to enhance their skills and competencies, promoting professional growth and development.
  • Communication: Foster effective communication with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare providers to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Problem-Solving: Collaborate with the Director of Inpatient Services and Director of Clinical Services to resolve complex clinical practice issues.
  • Leadership: Demonstrate strong leadership skills, providing guidance, support, and constructive feedback to staff members.

Qualifications

  • Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing with current registration with the College of Registered Nurses and Midwives of PEI (CRNMPEI).
  • Extensive recent experience in acute care, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality patient care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish positive relationships with staff, patients, families, and healthcare providers.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, initiative, and innovation in clinical practice, enhancing clinical competency and promoting a culture of excellence.
  • ACLS certification required or obtained within one year.
  • Good previous work and attendance record.
