Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Catering Service Worker to join our team at the DelMonte Hotel Group. As a Catering Service Worker, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of catering events, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires flexibility, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. You will work closely with our event planning team to deliver memorable experiences for our guests. Your role will involve set-up and take-down of catering event spaces, inventory management, food preparation, and presentation. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all equipment and small-wares are in working order and that all food and beverage is transported safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to all guests
  • Set up and take down catering event spaces according to company standards
  • Manage inventory levels, conduct open and closing counts, and escalate any discrepancies
  • Prepare and close off consumption reports
  • Restock, replenish, and secure all areas as it pertains to Catering
  • Verify all equipment and small-wares are in working order
  • Transport food and beverage from the Production Kitchen to designated event spaces
  • Ensure terms of contracts are executed upon
  • Follow timelines closely and adapt to changing conditions as required
  • Perform other duties assigned by your Manager

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Prior experience in similar type operations is an asset
  • Smart Serve certification required
  • Knowledge of safe food handling policies and procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Working Conditions

This role requires you to work on-site at the DelMonte Hotel Group. The physical demands of this role include standing, walking, and stooping, as well as using hands and fingers to handle controls. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
