Job Title: Food Service Supervisor

Mount Alverno Resort and Retreat is seeking a skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of food and service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring efficient and effective service.
  • Training and Development: Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction.
  • Operations: Establish methods to meet work schedules, estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Communication: Address customers' complaints or concerns, and prepare and submit reports to management.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Setting: Restaurant environment with fast-paced conditions, tight deadlines, and a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, and a team player attitude.
Working Conditions:

Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, and tight deadlines.

Language:

English.

Hours of Work:

35 to 40 hours per week.
