Job Title: Food Service Supervisor

Mount Alverno Resort and Retreat is seeking a skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our food and beverage team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of service and food preparation in our restaurant.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Supervision: Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Training and Development: Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, ensuring accurate inventory management and minimizing waste.
  • Reporting and Communication: Prepare and submit reports, communicating effectively with the chef and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Setting: Restaurant environment with fast-paced conditions, tight deadlines, and a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Personal Suitability: Excellent oral communication, client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, and a team player attitude.
