Job Summary

The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and sustaining the maintenance program of the plant to ensure compliance with contract requirements and continuous improvement of assets performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract management and collaboration with the Plant Manager to achieve excellent contract compliance and financial results.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators, identify and implement changes to policy and practices.
  • Prepare annual expense operating plan, review and manage maintenance budget, and coordinate department to assure budgetary compliance.
  • Define scope of works, plan and manage maintenance projects, and submit requests for capital expenditure authorizations.
  • Establish and sustain asset management best practices, lead the development of an effective risk mitigation program, and manage and lead the maintenance team.
  • Determine predictive strategies to monitor equipment deterioration, prevent failures, and reduce impact on operation and maintenance cost.
  • Optimize inventory management by implementing industrial best practices and reducing inventory costs based on risks.
  • Liaise and collaborate with Veolia colleagues specialized in asset maintenance to share ideas and initiatives.
  • Implement strong maintenance practices to ensure the highest possible level of health and safety.

Requirements:

  • Technical certification(s) in related disciplines and/or college degree in Engineering preferred.
  • At least 10 years of experience in asset maintenance in industrial environment (waste and water treatment preferable).
  • 5 years' experience in a managerial or supervisory role in the electro-mechanical field.
  • Effective interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite and Google applications.
  • Ability for emergency stand-by.
  • Well-versed in best practices in environmental, health and safety.
  • Knowledge of Maintenance Management planning.
  • Knowledge and experience in the operation and maintenance of water treatment chemical application equipment.

Work Environment:

Permanent position, offered on a full-time basis, with working schedules from Monday to Friday, day time.
