Cost Controller

At CO_65 Bird Industrial Management Services Ltd., we are seeking a highly skilled Cost Controller to join our team. As a Cost Controller, you will play a critical role in managing the cost control system for our projects, ensuring that costs are accurately tracked and reported to the project team.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate the budget development at each phase of the project, ensuring that costs are within expected ranges.
- Develop and manage work orders and purchase orders for project overheads.
- Effectively manage invoices and timesheets to ensure accurate forecasting.
- Manage a transparent process of allocating project costs to capital projects, as per existing guidelines.
- Act as a resource for time entry questions and provide guidance to the cost control support role.
- Provide overall cost coordination for the project and contractor personnel to ensure timely and accurate reporting of all labour costs.
- Certified cost professional through AACE (Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering) or working towards certification.
- Post-secondary education, such as a degree or diploma in a related field, and/or relevant combination of experience.
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Exceptional forecasting abilities.
- Expertise in Project Management Systems in general, while project-specific application trainings will be provided.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and working knowledge of other MS Office software.
- Understanding of project management.
- Ability to forge, grow, and maintain positive relationships.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet the time demands of unpredictable activities, capable of handling pressure and challenges in a dynamic business environment.
- Ability to work within tight deadlines and prioritization of work to achieve them.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, troubleshooting, problem-solving skills, and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Highly developed interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrates a sense of urgency and strong commitment to achieving goals; ability to work in challenging, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a positive attitude.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work a rotational schedule of 14 and 7, in a camp-based environment.
