Canadian Blood Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Director, Testing - Transmissible Disease, Surveillance and HLA Process Development to join our dynamic Testing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing the development and monitoring of Donor Testing performance measures for Transmissible Diseases (TD) and Nucleic Acid Testing, HLA testing for stem cell donors, and TD surveillance activities.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical transfusion medicine or clinical laboratory settings, with a minimum of 10 years of experience. They will also have a proven track record of leading and optimizing Donor Testing processes through performance analysis, process improvement, automation, and strategic initiatives.
The Associate Director, Testing - Transmissible Disease, Surveillance and HLA Process Development will ensure that best practices are implemented consistently across all Donor Testing sites, and provide project management leadership for change implementation and act as a resource to Donor Testing Laboratories and Head Office staff.
The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with excellent communication and leadership skills, and will be able to work effectively in a hybrid environment with requirements to be onsite at a Canadian Blood Services location at least 40% of the time.
