Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Operations Manager to lead our team at the Irving Nature Park. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the park, ensuring a high standard of care and providing an exceptional user experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Community Engagement: Develop and maintain partnerships with local nature and recreation groups, organizations, and stakeholders to promote the park's conservation values and community engagement.
  • Park Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the park's facilities, trails, and grounds, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for visitors.
  • Program Development: Collaborate with the park interpreter to develop engaging outdoor education and program opportunities for local schools and the general public.
  • Social Media: Utilize social media platforms to connect with the community, share conservation values, and promote park activities.
  • Operational Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve park operations, aligning with company standards and community needs.
  • Staff Management: Supervise and train park staff, ensuring safety, quality standards, and top performance in a safe work environment.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with staff, community, senior managers, and executives to ensure seamless operations and community engagement.
Requirements
  • Education: A related post-secondary education in Hospitality/Tourism, Forestry, Environmental Management, Biology, or equivalent.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of supervisory experience, with a valid driver's license and proficiency in MS Office.
  • Skills: Excellent oral communication skills, ability to create engaging social media content, and knowledge of local flora and fauna.
