Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Operations and Strategy to join our team at Ontario Transport Inc.

Salary:

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, based on industry standards and the candidate's experience.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Allocate resources: Effectively allocate material, human, and financial resources to implement organizational policies and programs.
  • Establish objectives: Establish clear objectives for the organization and formulate or approve policies and programs that align with those objectives.
  • Represent the organization: Represent the organization in negotiations or other official functions, ensuring effective communication and representation.
  • Act as spokesperson: Serve as a spokesperson for the organization, providing accurate and timely information to stakeholders.
  • Conduct performance reviews: Conduct regular performance reviews to assess employee performance and provide constructive feedback.
  • Respond to enquiries: Respond promptly to enquiries from members of the business community regarding development opportunities.
  • Develop business plans: Develop and implement business plans that align with the organization's objectives and strategies.
  • Answer inquiries: Provide timely and accurate responses to written and oral inquiries.
  • Conduct surveys: Conduct social or economic surveys on local, regional, or international areas to assess development potential and future trends.
  • Develop feasibility studies: Develop feasibility studies to support business decisions.
  • Establish controls: Establish financial and administrative controls to ensure efficient operations and effective resource allocation.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in the transportation industry.
  • Skills: Excellent leadership and management skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in MS Office applications.
