Morgan Construction and Environmental (Ltd.) is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join our team in the dynamic world of heavy civil construction. As an Excavator Operator, you will play a pivotal role in our projects, working closely with our team to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate excavators of various sizes, including 336 and 470 excavators, in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Perform earth moving and grading, stripping overburden, stacking, and stockpiling.
  • Work on all types of ground conditions, including soft ground.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure project specifications and guidelines are met.
  • Champion our safety culture by adhering to Morgan's Safe Work Procedures and PPE policies.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience on an excavator.
  • Able to shovel out equipment tracks.
  • Must have (or be willing and able to obtain) CSTS-09/ OSSA Regional or BSO or CSO, Intermediate First Aid, H2S Alive, Bear Awareness (in class), H2S Alive or awareness.
  • Provide your own steel-toed 6" lace-up boots (CSA Approved).
  • Able to repetitively and safely lift up to 50lbs.
  • Alcohol, Drug and fit to work testing is a pre-employment requirement.

Working Conditions:

  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Handle noise and vibrations on the job.
  • Work up to 12 hours a day.
  • Work day or night shifts.
