Excavator Operator Job Description

Morgan Construction and Environmental (Ltd.) is seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to join our team in the dynamic world of heavy civil construction. As an Excavator Operator, you will play a pivotal role in our projects, working closely with our team to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate excavators of various sizes, including 336 and 470 excavators, in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Perform earth moving and grading, stripping overburden, stacking, and stockpiling tasks.
  • Assist ground personnel as needed and adhere to project specifications and guidelines.
  • Champion our safety culture by following Morgan's Safe Work Procedures and PPE policies.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and take ownership of tasks.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Excavator Operator in heavy civil earthworks, construction, mining, or oilfield maintenance services.
  • Ability to operate excavators of various sizes and perform tasks in diverse weather conditions.
  • Proven experience with technical specifications and grade plans, building roads, oilfield leases, and pads.
  • Ability to repetitively and safely lift up to 50lbs and work in remote areas.
  • Must have (or be willing and able to obtain) CSTS-09/OSSA Regional or BSO or CSO, Intermediate First Aid, H2S Alive, Bear Awareness (in class), H2S Alive or awareness.
