About the Role:
The District of Saanich is seeking a highly skilled Engineering Projects Manager to join our Water Resources Division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading capital projects from design to construction, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead project teams to deliver complex capital projects, including design, construction, and contract administration.
- Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource plans.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including consultants, contractors, and community groups, to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, District policies, and industry standards.
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, including design and construction reviews.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- Membership as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia (EGBC).
- At least six years of progressive experience in capital project management, design, and construction of civil/municipal infrastructure.
- Professional knowledge and diverse experience in municipal water, wastewater, and drainage infrastructure design and construction, specifically in retrofit environments.
