About the Opportunity:

The District of Saanich is seeking a highly skilled Engineering Projects Manager to join our Water Resources Division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading capital projects from design to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead project teams in the design, construction, and delivery of capital projects, including water, wastewater, and drainage infrastructure.
  • Act as Engineer of Record for designs prepared under your direct supervision.
  • Develop and implement project management plans, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Collaborate with consulting teams, stakeholders, and other departments to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver projects successfully.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Membership as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia (EGBC).
  • At least six years of progressive experience in a related position, with a focus on capital project management, design, and construction of civil/municipal infrastructure.
  • Professional knowledge and diverse experience in the principles, methods, and techniques applicable to municipal water, wastewater, and drainage infrastructure design and construction.
