About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at OSI Maritime Systems. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving profitable revenue growth and expanding our customer base in the maritime autonomous market.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the industry and possess excellent communication and negotiation skills. You will work closely with our Director of Business Development to design and implement sales strategies that align with our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sales Strategy Development: Collaborate with the Director of Business Development to identify sales prospects and develop targeted sales strategies to maximize revenue growth.
  • Customer Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with existing and new customers, providing expert advice on our autonomous maritime solutions and identifying opportunities for growth.
  • Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activity, informing our sales strategies and product development.
  • Product Alignment: Work closely with our product development team to ensure that our autonomous maritime solutions meet the needs of our customers and align with emerging market trends.
  • Reporting and Insights: Provide regular reports and insights to the management team on market trends, customer activity, and sales performance.
Requirements:
  • Navy Experience: 5-10+ years of experience in the Navy, including bridge watch-keeping, navigation, and tactical employment of ships' assets using modern electronic navigation systems.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the maritime autonomous market and technology trends.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and people management skills, with the ability to present to and interact with large groups and audiences.
  • Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation capability with focused strategic and tactical selling skills.
  • Self-Motivation: Self-motivated with good ability to work alone or in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
