Transport Manager Opportunity at Cascades



We are seeking a skilled Transport Manager to join our team at Cascades. This role is a great opportunity for a motivated individual to develop their skills and contribute to the success of our organization.



Key Responsibilities


  • Monitor all transportation-related functions and activities to ensure compliance with established laws, codes, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Comply with all Employment and Health & Safety Policies and Procedures as required.
  • Responsible for drivers on all aspects of operations and personnel issues.
  • Recruitment of drivers in the different remote locations established by the QC supply chain group.
  • Training of drivers in their locations to make sure they are onboarded according to CR+'s internal compliance protocols.
  • Provide direction and support within all operating areas of the department (dispatch, compliance, maintenance).


Requirements


  • 3-5 years of experience in a Supervisor or Managerial position.
  • CDL Holder class 1.
  • Previous experience in the recycling, waste, or related industry is an asset.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws, codes, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Proven success in development and implementation of improvements in transportation activities for cost savings, productivity improvements, and/or growth.
  • Advanced knowledge of transport and dispatching operations.
  • Previous experience working within Transportation is an asset.
  • Route optimization/re-routing experience is an asset.
  • Master both French and English to communicate easily with our units and partners in Quebec, English-speaking provinces, and the United States.
