Canine Explosive Detection Specialist

K9 Explosive Detection Handler
A.S.P. Incorporated is seeking a highly skilled K9 Explosive Detection Handler to join our team. As a K9 Explosive Detection Handler, you will be responsible for conducting Explosives Detection searches of air cargo, mailbags, and other required items.
Responsibilities:
- Complete and maintain certification in the Explosives Detection Dog and Handler Team (EDDHT) program under Transport Canada.
- Complete and maintain a Transport Security Clearance (TSC) under Transport Canada.
- Responsible for the 24-hour housing, care, and well-being of your assigned canine.
- Carry out K9 duties, including working indoors and outdoors under all different conditions.
- Be flexible and willing to work in unpredictable, and often last-minute canine service requests.
- Daily training on explosives detection and maintenance records complying with Federal Regulations.
Requirements:
- Minimum High School diploma or Grade 12 education.
- Eligible to work in Canada.
- Proficient in English.
- Proficient computer skills such as Microsoft Office.
- Self-motivated individual with a strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and active listening skills.
- Must possess a valid Security licence, Drivers Licence (G or Higher) with a clear driving abstract and Basic First Aid and CPR certification.
- Must be willing to provide Criminal Record check upon request.
- Security experience an asset.
