About the OpportunityWe are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Vice Principal to join our school team in Tsay Keh Dene, BC. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading educational programs and supporting the growth and development of our students.
Key Responsibilities- Lead educational programs and initiatives to ensure academic excellence and student success
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to develop and implement curriculum and instructional strategies
- Provide guidance and support to students, teachers, and staff to promote a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Develop and manage budgets and resources to support educational programs and initiatives
- Recruit and hire qualified teachers and staff to support educational programs
- Participate in community events and activities to promote cultural awareness and understanding
- Master's degree in Education or Special Education
- Valid BC teaching certificate or equivalent
- Minimum of two years experience as Vice Principal or in a similar leadership role
- Strong knowledge of First Nations culture, traditions, and history
- Experience working in a First Nations community or with Indigenous students
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- 100% employer-covered Extended health, dental, and vision coverage
- Fully furnished housing provided, as well as coverage for utilities
- Pension plan - 5% match
- 2 months vacation during Summertime plus an extra 3 weeks at Christmas and 2 weeks Spring Break
- 10 sick days (prorated based on hiring date)
- Moving allowance up to $1000
- Paid travel to and from point of hire at start and end of contract and for Christmas break, plus paid travel to and from Prince George for Spring break
