Job Title: Vice Principal - Tsay Keh Dene Nation

Job Summary:

Tsay Keh Dene Nation is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Vice Principal to join our team at Tsay Keh Dene School. As a key member of our educational leadership team, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experience of our students and contributing to the overall success of our school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate the activities of teachers and support staff
  • Evaluate curriculum, teaching methods, and community participation in programs
  • Coordinate teaching activities by making personnel assignments, determining class sizes, and preparing timetables
  • Direct and coordinate school maintenance services and the use of school facilities
  • Attend and participate in extracurricular school activities, staff meetings, and cultural initiatives

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Education or Special Education
  • Valid BC teaching certificate or equivalent from another Canadian province
  • Minimum of two years experience as Vice-Principal or equivalent administrative experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a First Nations community
