Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician/Technologist to join our team in Morden, MB. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for supporting production equipment, troubleshooting and repairing electro/mechanical equipment failures, and maintaining accurate and up-to-date maintenance documentation.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Support production equipment in a medical device healthcare environment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electro/mechanical equipment failures.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance documentation.
  • Work proactively to ensure production performance targets are met.
  • Focus on Continuous Improvement projects to drive improvements in OEE.
  • Assist in developing plans to correct equipment deficiencies and determine long-term solutions for equipment issues to improve reliability.
  • Schedule and perform preventative maintenance procedures to ensure proper operation.
  • Ensure that Good Manufacturing Practices & Good Documentation Practices are followed.
  • Support Engineering projects and lead actions assigned to the maintenance group.
  • Communicate effectively in both verbal and written contexts.

Your Skills and Expertise

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Certificate/Diploma in a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Technology field.
  • OR High School Diploma/GED or higher AND 5+ years of mechanical and/or electrical experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.

In addition to the above requirements, the following are also essential:

  • Strong troubleshooting / problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to work different shift patterns as the business requires.
  • Residency near/in Morden MB or planning to relocate to Morden MB in the near future.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed in this role include:

  • Eligibility for registration with CTTAM as a Technician or Technologist.
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing equipment in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency working with equipment such as AC/DC motors, servo systems, PLCs, robotics, vision systems, sensors, etc.
  • Excellent technical communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in using the Microsoft suite of products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Work Location: Onsite - 400 Route 100, Morden, MB R6M1Z9

Travel: No Travel

The starting pay range for this position is $65,000 - $70,000. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
