Key ResponsibilitiesYour day-to-day will involve:
- Supporting the manufacturing operations team in the execution of manufacturing project commitments.
- Planning processes and scheduling with work-in-progress production updates, fabrication completion, and delivery updates.
- Assisting production leaders to create and instruct credible production plans and schedules that balance available capacity and resources.
- Ensuring work in progress through production sequence.
- Preparing transportation documentation packages, according to regulatory requirements.
- Supporting logistics planning for incoming/outgoing shipments.
- Planning and managing inventory for work in progress, including surplus and excess inventory.
- Timely releasing internal deliverables to support production activities dependent on appropriate documents to maintain delivery schedules.
- Supporting continuous improvement activities for planning, control, inventory, production, and delivery lead times.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 5 years of experience in a project-based manufacturing environment.
- Experience in production planning and control.
- Proficiency with scheduling software, including MS Project (P6 an asset).
- Proficiency with MS Word and Excel.
- Load and capacity planning experience.
- Inventory planning experience.
- Excellent communication skills to convey information effectively.
- Familiarity with reading blueprints/drawings and schematics.
- A post-secondary diploma/degree in a related field (Business Admin, Technical, etc.).
- SAP knowledge and experience an asset.
