We are seeking a highly skilled Engineering/Power & Energy Engineering Technology professional to join our Capital Portfolio Delivery, Commissioning Estimating & Best Practices Team at Hydro One Networks Inc.

About the Role

This exciting opportunity will see you working closely with our internal capabilities and key stakeholders to efficiently deliver our growing capital plan, ensuring Hydro One can support the future of energy in our province.

Key Responsibilities
  • Learn estimating functions and the function it plays within the project life cycle
  • Interface with other lines of business, regarding details of design and construction/commissioning activities
  • Gain an understanding of risk management
  • Gain an understanding of Capital Delivery Model
  • How the electricity grid is built, maintained, and operated
  • How large capital transmission infrastructure projects are defined, planned, estimated and delivered
Requirements
  • Must meet New Grad Program Eligibility Requirements
  • A University undergraduate degree in Engineering (Electrical), Power and Energy Engineering Technology, or related field of study
  • Previous Co-op/Internship experience in a relevant field and industry is considered an asset
  • Familiar with general engineering project life cycles and processes
  • Fundamental knowledge of power systems and their protection and control systems
  • Familiar with project management practices
  • Familiar with SharePoint, Power BI, Power Automate and SAP is an asset
