Sales Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our team at Tiverton General Store. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and ensuring compliance with government regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to our customers, responding to their needs and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Sales and Merchandising: Maintain a thorough knowledge of our products and services, and make recommendations to customers to meet their needs.
- Inventory Management: Assist in the maintenance of accurate inventory records, and perform data entry tasks as required.
- Cash Handling: Operate a cash register, handle cash, cheques, credit card, and automatic debit payments, and maintain a high level of accuracy in all transactions.
- Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
- Experience: Will train.
- Language: English.
- Work Environment: Non-smoking, air-conditioned, and clean.
- Work Setting: On-site customer service, retail business, supermarket/grocery store, liquor and wine store, and bakery.
- Physical Demands: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, physically demanding, and repetitive tasks.
- Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
- Time Management: Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
- Organized: Ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Reliability: Ability to be reliable and dependable in all aspects of the job.
- Initiative: Ability to take initiative and work independently.
- Judgement: Ability to make sound judgements and decisions.
- Ability to Multitask: Ability to multitask and handle multiple responsibilities.
- Honesty: Ability to maintain honesty and integrity in all aspects of the job.
