Job SummaryWe're seeking a Registered Nurse with critical care experience to join our Coronary Care Unit team. As a critical care nurse, you'll be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care and practice activities in a multidisciplinary family-centered care environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate their effectiveness
- Collaborate with physicians, specialized critical care nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
- Participate in hospital-wide code response teams and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care, treatment plans, and outcomes
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse in good standing
- BScN or equivalent degree preferred
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Completion of a Critical Care Certificate program
- Level 3 Critical Care experience
- Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in stressful situations and prioritize tasks effectively
