Job Summary

We're seeking a Registered Nurse with critical care experience to join our Coronary Care Unit team. As a critical care nurse, you'll be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care and practice activities in a multidisciplinary family-centered care environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate their effectiveness
  • Collaborate with physicians, specialized critical care nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
  • Participate in hospital-wide code response teams and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care, treatment plans, and outcomes
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse in good standing
  • BScN or equivalent degree preferred
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Completion of a Critical Care Certificate program
  • Level 3 Critical Care experience
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in stressful situations and prioritize tasks effectively
