Procurement Manager for Turnaround Operations

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to lead our Turnaround Procurement team at our refinery in Saint John, NB. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing contracting and procurement strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials, equipment, and services for turnaround events.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement contracting and procurement strategies in collaboration with the contract and procurement teams.
- Lead the Turnaround Procurement team to ensure delivery of materials, equipment, and services in accordance with project timelines and budgets.
- Liaise with the Turnaround team and Project Controls to ensure contract compliance and budget management.
- Develop and execute communication and reporting protocols to ensure timely and relevant updates to all stakeholders.
- Work with the Materials Management team to identify critical equipment and surplus material deployment plans.
- Lead tactical procurement activities to ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services for turnaround events.
- Support the expediting of materials and equipment as required to ensure timelines are met.
- Maintain a Supply Management action/issue log and registry.
- Participate in post-turnaround learning teams representing Supply Management.
- Provide on-site support to the business and contractors in advance of and during the turnaround.
- Manage multiple stakeholders across a broad category base with competing business priorities.
- Support the implementation of systems and processes that support collaboration and team effectiveness.
- Lead mentoring, learning, and coaching with members of the team.
- Develop and implement KPIs to drive continuous improvement in driving business value and productivity.
- Support the development and implementation of processes to track and report on opportunities and results achieved.
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
- 15+ years project management experience.
- 5-10 years management experience.
